Job description

The Employer is: TIDDLY TOWN NEWRY LTD. An integral role within Tiddly Town Newry, to ensure the smooth running of the cafe area in the play town. As a catering assistant you will prepare food in accordance with Health and Safety and food standards regulations. You will monitor and maintain cafe cleaning schedules ensuring all areas are immaculately clean. You will serve customers using and EPOS system and deliver high levels of customer service. .

Responsibilities

• To help prepare and cook food in a hygienic manner.
• To be aware of dietary needs and respond to enquiries.
• To hold a suitable level 2 food hygiene certificate.
• To dispose of waste correctly.
• To ensure all food is used within prescribed period and to rotate perishable stock.
• Contribute to serving of food.
• Ensure cleaning duties are completed according to the cleaning schedule.
• To perform other reasonable duties as and when required.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team but also using own initiative.

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience in a catering role desired.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 desired but not required.

Further Information

The Employer is: TIDDLY TOWN NEWRY LTD. Although this is a full time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended, and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer. Salary: 16-17 £6.40, 18-20 £8.60, 21 plus £11.44 per hour.
