Job description

The post holder will play a lead role in the validation and implementation of a replacement core blood management system for NIBTS. This system has recently been procured with and implementation target date of late 2025.

Responsibilities

• Maintain their knowledge of current legislation and best practice in the field of validation
• In conjunction with Q&RC Manager, develop and implement the NIBTS Validation Strategy and Validation Master Plan

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Undergraduate Degree 2.2 or above in Relevant Discipline and Educated to MSc level or equivalent experience
• MSc in Biomedical Sciences or an equivalent professional qualification FIBMS and HPC registered registered Biomedical Scientist

Desirable Skills

• Two years experience post HPC registration in Transfusion Science Haematology.
