Job description

The post holder will hold operational responsibility for the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) Service within the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust. Working in partnership with the Assistant Director and the MCA Acute/Community Lead, the post holder will be responsible for leading the service, ensuring it meets quality and governance standards, and has robust policies, procedures and protocols within the legislative framework..

Responsibilities

• The post holder will proactively contribute to and inform strategic planning and decision making in relation to the MCA Service.
• The post holder will provide operational management and will ensure that the Trust wide MCA Service operates within the allocated budget.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Have a relevant university degree or relevant professional qualification and worked for at least 3 years in a senior management role (8A or above) in a complex health service organisation.
• Have worked for at least 5 years in a senior management role (8A or above) in a complex health service organisation with a component of leading on major organisational projects, change management, innovation or service improvement.
