Job description
The Head of Equality will be responsible for leading and developing the design and delivery of the Trust’s equality, engagement, consultation and carers support functions..
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead on the implementation of the Trusts Equality Scheme, Good Relations Strategy, Equality Action Plan and Disability Action Plan, ensuring its integration with corporate strategy and service delivery priorities.
- Be accountable for ensuring the Trust meets its legal obligations in relation to equality and human rights whilst developing best practice approaches to comply with regulatory and corporate systems.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- A relevant university degree or professional qualification and at least 3 years experience at Band 7 or 8A or equivalent or above where you have significant responsibility for equality, human rights and/or good relations in a major complex org
- A relevant HND/HNC and at least 4 years experience at Band 7 or 8A or equivalent or above where you have significant responsibility for equality, human rights and/or good relations in a major complex organisation leading a team.
