NIPEC Project Support Officer
Job description
The overall purpose of the post is to provide administrative support to NIPEC’s Senior Professional Officers in the delivery of a range of projects in an efficient, effective and high-quality manner. .
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the organisation and provision of administrative duties and project support to the Senior Professional Officers. This will include diary management, note taking as appropriate, word processing, mail management, file maintenance
- Identifying, collating and presenting information, data and reports as necessary and in a requested format e.g. PowerPoint, excel, charts etc.
- Conducting surveys and updating project information and documents on NIPECs website, using latest software, apps, content management systems and project management tools e.g. Survey Mechanics, WordPress, PageTiger etc.
- Dealing with queries to include taking and passing on clear and concise messages and obtaining and passing on accurate information.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- 1(a). GCSE Maths and GCSE English (A-C) OR equivalent qualification to demonstrate literacy and numeracy AND 2 A Levels OR equivalent OR higher qualification AND 18 months relevant experience OR
- 1(b). HNC/HND or equivalent or higher qualification in an administration related field AND 3 years relevant experience
- Relevant experience is defined as experience providing project admin support, minute taking, filing, diary maintenance, preparing reports, using Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Desirable Skills
- Ability to work on own initiative. Understanding and use of IT content management systems, apps and tools e.g. Survey Mechanics, WordPress, PageTiger etc.
- RSA / OCR Stage II Word Processing both parts
