Job description

Wm Grant & Co Ltd are looking to recruit a multi skilled Engineer to work as part of an engineering team carrying out installation, maintenance, improvement and repair of all plant and equipment on site.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance duties as scheduled, reporting results & concerns.
• Fit and repair faults on mechanical services, engineering plant and equipment.
• Deal with new situations as they arise and pass on knowledge to others in a busy manufacturing environment.
• Carry out repairs on machines. Carry out statutory inspections and testing on mechanical services, engineering plant and equipment, and complete necessary documentation.
• Work alongside other trades/disciplines Have awareness of Health and Safety in the workplace.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Ability to work independently who is also a strong team player. Evidence of good communication skills.

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience as a Mechanic or Maintenance Fitter would be ideal. Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic concepts. Machinery, welding and fabrication knowledge would be an advantage.
