Hygiene Operative
Job description
The Hygiene Operative role will work as part of a team and independently to make best use of the resources (time, materials and equipment). All machines relating to food production and manufacturing as well as production, storage areas, facilities and grounds will have to be cleaned to highest possible standard ensuring the hygiene standards are maintained and predominantly exceeded. To ensure the correct standards are achieved the cleaning is audited by the Technical/Quality Department.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with the company rules regarding Standard Operating Procedure, Health and Safety and Food Safety.
- Correspondence with the Technical manager, Quality Dept, Hygiene Supervisor, Hygiene Team and both Day and Night Shift Managers.
- Cleaning equipment, production and storage areas, facilities and grounds.
- Partake in daily hygiene cleaning assessments along with supervisor and the Technical/Quality Department.
- Completion of hygiene department documentation.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team and independently.
- Attention to detail.
- Able to follow instructions and organise work load.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge and experience of cleaning chemicals and cleaning techniques.
- Experience working in food manufacturing environment.
Further Information
Night premium rate paid between hours of 10pm and 6am.
