Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will support the company by preparing, managing and completing tender documentation and pre-qualification questionnaires.
  • Analysing tender documents, specifications and requirements to develop a comprehensive understanding of client needs.
  • Preparing, structuring and writing detailed and persuasive proposals, ensuring all bid submissions align with company standards and client specifications.
  • Developing tailored responses to prequalification questionnaires (PQQs), invitations to tender (ITTs) and other bid-related documents.
  • Leading the coordination of the qualitative bids and liaise with internal teams, including Estimators, Project Managers, Engineers and Quantity Surveyors, to gather required information for bid preparation.
  • Maintaining and update a database of standardised bid responses, templates and supporting documents
  • Creating and curate a library of case studies, project profiles, CVs and other collateral to strengthen bid submissions
  • Supporting marketing and business development campaigns across the group
  • Conducting market research into new and existing markets and services
  • Ensuring all bids are compliant with tender specifications, industry regulations, and company policies.
  • Proofreading and edit bid documents for accuracy, grammar, and clarity.
  • Conducting post-bid reviews to analyse submission outcomes and identify areas for improvement

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Demonstrable experience in bid writing.
  • Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent focusing on Construction / Marketing / Media / Law / Journalism / Geography / History / Social Sciences discipline
  • Strong analytical ability with a proven ability to interpret bid requirements and produce high-quality responses tailored to exacting requirements.
  • Effective collaboration with diverse internal and external stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Strong organisational skills with experience managing multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Additional skills in InDesign would be desirable.
