Job description
As our Marketing & PR Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the planning and execution of our marketing and communication strategies. This is a hands-on opportunity where you will gain practical experience in various aspects of marketing and PR, working closely with the team.
Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Assisting with the development of engaging content for our website, social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, tiktok, LinkedIn), and email newsletters. This could involve writing short articles, crafting social me
- Social Media Management: Supporting the scheduling and monitoring of social media posts, engaging with our online community, and tracking performance.
- Media Relations: Assisting with the creation of press releases and media kits, helping to identify and liaise with relevant media contacts.
- Event Support: Providing support in the planning and execution of our events and the awards ceremony , including managing registration, assisting with logistics, and capturing content.
- Marketing Material Development: Assisting with the creation and distribution of marketing materials such as flyers, posters, and digital assets.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- A keen interest in marketing, public relations, and promoting diversity and inclusion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Proficiency in using social media platforms.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A willingness to learn.
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Desirable Skills
- Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva).
- Familiarity with website content management systems.
- Previous experience in a similar administrative or communications role.
Further Information
This work experience opportunity is expected to last for 4-8 weeks and will require attendance of 20 Hours per week, 9.00am - 2.00pm, 4 days per week flexible. While on Work Experience, participants will retain their entitlement to benefit. Those who are not receiving benefit are also welcome to participate. Travel and childcare costs may be reimbursed. Participants will also receive an incentive payment equivalent to £10/day to a maximum of £50/week.
