Lead Rigger


Job description

This role is responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of on site teams to ensure the efficient installation and derig of marquee structures, delivered on time and to specification. You will manage the day-to-day operations on-site, liaising directly with clients to ensure their expectations are met and all necessary paperwork is completed. In addition to overseeing marquee installations and derigs, you will supervise and coordinate your team’s work, ensuring timely completion of all tasks. Responsibilities

  • Safeguarding health and safety on-site and during loading and unloading, ensuring a safe working environment for both the team and clients.
  • Manage a team of Riggers and Seasonal riggers on site, maintaining motivation to work efficiently.
  • Take overall responsibility of installation and derig of marquee structures at specified sites across the NI ensuring build timelines, health and safety are maintained and all tasks are effectively delegated to ensure efficient installation.
  • To ensure all vehicles are loaded correctly at the yard before leaving for any client site.
  • Provide exceptional guest services by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly and courteously.
  • Work as part of a team and take responsibility for your own workload, be organised and use initiative.
  • Set up and dismantle rigging equipment in accordance with safety regulations and project specifications.
  • Inspect rigging gear, including slings, shackles, and hoists, to ensure they are in good working condition.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience managing / leading a team in the event, construction or similar industry.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Proven experience in leading a team and working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures.
  • Full driving licence is required.
  • Confident towing trailers.
