Are you a caring, kind, chatty person and live in the Ballygowan area? Silver Cloud Care NI is on the look out for warm -hearted reliable carers to join our team. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, caring, compassionate with a desire to care and support vulnerable adults in their own home. This role involves personal care, assisting with daily activities, supporting independence, and promoting dignity and respect. Being a Carer to someone is not just any job. As a Silver Carer you provide a selfless and much needed service . There is nothing more rewarding than knowing you have just brightened up someone's day just by taking time to sit and have a cuppa with them! We pay £14 per hour plus mileage.

Responsibilities

• Ensure physical and emotional wellbeing.
• Assisting with dressing, bathing, toileting, and mobility support.
• Maintain excellent hygiene standards.
• Meal preparation.
• Provide much needed company and and engaging conversation.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Patience (you may have to listen to the same story numerous times).
• A non judgemental approach to care.

Desirable Skills

• Driver with access to own car.
• Previous experience working as a Care Assistant (not essential as full training will be provided).

Further Information

You will be required to undergo an enhanced Access NI enhanced check. Be registered with NISCC (or willing to register). Complete all mandatory training. We offer flexible working hours and a great rate of pay. Sorry, but we do not currently offer sponsorship.
