D. G. Green & Sons Limited are one of the leading Building and Civil Engineering Contractors working throughout Northern Ireland. Due to the award of a new contract, we are seeking to recruit experienced Skilled Civils Groundworkers to join the D G Green & Sons Limited Civils Division. Earthworks and general civils work. New drainage installs, maintenance and repair work.

Responsibilities

• Earthworks and general civils work.
• New drainage installs, maintenance and repair work.
• Foul and storm installs.
• Concreting works.
• Utilities installations and maintenance.
• All finishing works (paving, brick paving, kerbing, fencing, landscaping).
• Operating commercial LGV vehicles up to 44 tonnes, including rigid trucks, articulated lorries and low-loaders.
• Loading and unloading of goods onto trucks, collection and delivery of materials to and from building sites.
• Work within a gang of Civil Operatives when lorry use is not required.
• Carrying out routine and daily maintenance, such as oil, tyre and brake checks.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Experience of working on Civil Engineering Projects.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ensure compliance with all current client processes and procedures.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external clients.
• Be competent in the use of Stihl Saws / Wacker plates / trench compactor / mini digger / jackhammer and hold the correct certification to complete the works.
