The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading blueprints and fabricating steel components using welding techniques such as MIG, TIG and Stick welding. Responsibilities include cutting, fitting and assembling steel parts, operating fabrication equipment and ensure all processes meet quality and safety standards. Candidates must also can work independently and as part of a team. This is a hands-on, full-time position based in a busy workshop environment with overtime available.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for welding, tacking and reading blueprint drawings.
- Communicate with both engineers and welders to create the final product therefore have the ability to speak fluent English.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- It is important that you can use effective communication skills to work with both engineers and other welders to help clear instructions flow through the factory and ensure the final product is accurate and of a high standard.
- You must be able to read blue print drawing and can weld/tac steel beams.
