To service the administrative support needs of the organisation.
Responsibilities
- To welcome visitors and users of the centre, answer queries and provide information as requested.
- To establish and maintain appropriate administrative systems adapted to the needs of the organisation.
- To establish and maintain appropriate financial monitoring procedures in accordance with CPTT’s portfolio and the needs of the organisation’s funders.
- To ensure lodgements with bank are efficiently carried out.
- Maintaining effective financial control systems i.e. petty cash, cheques, fees etc.
- To reconcile bank statements with all CPTT cash books and spreadsheets.
- To process the payroll and make returns to the Inland Revenue and Pension scheme.
- To undertake administrative and clerical tasks e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, and filing.
- To service the Board of Directors with minutes, agendas, financial reports etc. as required.
- To ensure the most efficient use of IT is made and to undertake training as necessary to achieve this.
- To perform any other functions relevant to the post as required.
- To work with other members of staff in an atmosphere of trust, co-operation and support.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Good working knowledge of using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Access, Outlook and Word.
- Experience in bookkeeping & accounts.
- Good working knowledge of using PAYE.
- Good working knowledge of HMRC and Pensions.
Desirable Skills
- A good working knowledge of the local community.
- Experience in the use of social media to promote the work of the organisation.
