Job description

Your role will be to support the current and future business development activities and support the General Manager in expanding the business.

Responsibilities

  • Revenue Growth: Drive top-line revenue by identifying, targeting and securing new business opportunities in the space and battery testing markets.
  • Market Expansion: Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new markets and customer segments, both domestically and internationally.
  • Brand Recognition: Enhance the company’s visibility and reputation through strategic marketing, partnerships and participation in industry events and conferences.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including aerospace manufacturers, battery developers and government agencies.
  • Proposal Development: Lead the preparation of technical and commercial proposals, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company capabilities.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with technical teams to align service offerings with market needs and ensure seamless project delivery.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in business development or technical sales, ideally within aerospace, energy storage or testing services.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Applicants must have all appropriate permits and visas to work in the UK and European Union.
  • The successful candidate will be asked to complete an AccessNI check and medical.
