We currently have an opportunity for an Electronics Technician to join our maintenance department. This position offers variety and a broad range of responsibilities including: Commissioning, maintaining, fault-diagnosing and modification of automated assembly and production equipment Providing support to plant facilities and systems Working as part of a multi-skilled team in a high tech environment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the smooth running of all production equipment, ensuring that downtime is kept to a minimum and all repairs completed successfully.
• Provides service and support to plant facilities and systems.
• Actively contribute to the development of equipment, process and product.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Educated to ONC in a relevant discipline or equivalent.
• A minimum of 1 year’s practical experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Thorough understanding of electrical circuitry.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to maintain electrical equipment and machinery.
• Demonstrate an aptitude for fault finding and problem solving on production type equipment.
• Ability to take general directions but work with minimal supervision.
• Good teamworking and communication skills.
• Must be computer literate.

Desirable Skills

• Educated to HNC standard in relevant discipline or equivalent.
• A minimum of 1 year’s relevant practical experience of fault finding to component level on analogue and digital systems.
• Working knowledge of PLCs.
• Working knowledge of 16th to 18th Edition.
• Mechanical aptitude.
