Silver Cloud Care NI is currently recruiting for Domiciliary Care Assistants for our clients in the Ballyclare area (mornings and evenings). This role involves personal care, assisting with daily activities, supporting independence, and promoting dignity and respect.

Responsibilities

• Ensure physical and emotional wellbeing
• Assisting with dressing, bathing, toileting, and mobility support
• Maintain excellent hygiene standards
• Meal preparation
• Companionship services, provide much needed company and and engaging conversation
• Social outings, go for a cuppa and a walk around the shops
• Assist with walking and mobility

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Listening skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience (you may have to listen to the same story numerous times)
• Driver with access to/own transport

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience working as a Care Assistant (not essential as full training will be provided)

Further Information

You will be required to undergo an enhanced Access NI enhanced check. Be registered with NISCC (or willing to register). Complete all mandatory training. We offer flexible working hours and a great rate of pay, we pay £14 per hour plus mileage. Sorry, but we do not currently offer sponsorship. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, caring, compassionate with a desire to care and support vulnerable adults in their own home.
