Job description

In order to meet the overall mission of the Trust the post holder will: Work as a Clinical Pharmacist providing a clinical pharmacy service to inpatient wards, hospital at home and clinics. Ensure the safe, effective and economic use of medicines.

Responsibilities

• Complete the Foundation Programme (FP2 or original FP pathway) within 12 months of appointment to allow progression to a band 7.
• Required to undertake and attain the prescribing qualification within first 2 years of appointment.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 2 years post registration experience of which 18 months (by 31st July 2025) must be as a band 6 hospital pharmacist.

Desirable Skills

• Practising Pharmacist Independent Prescriber. Successful candidates will be required to undertake and complete this qualification within 18 months of appointment/ within APP framework if they don’t already have it.
