Job description

Working under the supervision of the Diocesan Youth Ministry Director the main focus of the post will be working with young people, schools and parishes to help them develop their knowledge and understanding of youth ministry in the context of the Catholic Church leading to active youth ministry at school, parish and diocesan level.

• Working with young people, schools and parishes to help them develop their knowledge and understanding of youth ministry in the context of the Catholic Church.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• 3rd Level qualification.
• Proven experience in working with children/young people in faith formation setting.
• Understanding and knowledge of Catholic Teaching.
• Excellent IT & Communication skills.
• Proven ability in social media campaign(s) including but not limited to the use of Instagram, Facebook and X etc and use of Canva.

Desirable Skills

• The 3rd Level qualification to be in either Religious Education or Theology.
• Experience of working with children/young people at diocesan level (either paid or voluntary).

Further Information

This role is a 1 Year Fixed Term contract with possible extension.
