Cleaning Operative


Job description

We are seeking an experienced Cleaner, who will deliver high standards on our busy construction site, ensuring site offices and welfare units are clean, neat, and tidy. You will have the ability to work with minimal supervision, using your own initiative. Knowledge of health and safety requirements and previous practical experience in a cleaning role are essential. This is initially a 12month Fixed term contract, with the potential to extend. Flexible part time hours are available. Minimum 12hours p/w, increasing as construction work progresses.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of site offices and welfare units by vacuuming, sweeping and mopping.
  • Dust and wipe down surfaces regularly.
  • Ensure litter and waste is disposed of correctly.
  • Clean all sanitary facilities.
  • Restock supplies such as toilet rolls, soap, and hand towels.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines.
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience in a similar Cleaning role.
  • Understanding of health and safety requirements relating to cleaning appliances and products.
  • Ability to work alone and manage time effectively.

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of a construction environment.
