Job description

Undertake, as part of a team, the cleaning of any area within the school premises, designated by Team Leader or Facilities Manager, to ensure that they are kept in a clean and hygienic condition. Please see employer website for full job details & person specification.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, suction, clean, mop, dry buff, spray clean, spray wax, machine scrub and dry, strip and re-polish floors using appropriate equipment.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Experience of cleaning. Be able to handle manual work.

Desirable Skills

• It is desirable that candidates would have experience of cleaning in a school, commercial or industrial setting.

Further Information

Posts are available for start from 11 August or as soon as possible thereafter. Hours are 16 per week, term time plus two weeks. All employees are enrolled in the NILGOSC pension scheme but may opt out if they choose. Holiday entitlement is 18.5 days plus 9.5 Stat days based on the number of weeks worked. Employees may not take leave during term time therefore holiday pay is paid to staff during school closures.
