Lead Pharmacist Patient Services Extended Hours (EHS) - Band 8a
Job description
The post holder will lead, develop and promote the EHS service in the BHSCT Pharmacy Service in conjunction with the patient services pharmacist RVH and senior technicians. To manage the technical and professional aspects of service provision through leading, directing and coordinating Pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and support staff. To train and assess competency of Pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, student pharmacy technicians and pharmacy support workers working within the area. Audit activity during EHS to improve service provision. The post holder will provide day-to-day management for a group of staff including coordinating training, attendance management, managing performance, undertaking staff development reviews, participating in recruitment and selection, staff supervision and allocation of duties.

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- M.Pharm. or equivalent
- Be a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland or eligible for membership
Desirable Skills
- Have basic keyboard and computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, report generation and presentations).
- Be able to communicate effectively.
- Ability to use initiative, problem solve and troubleshoot.
- Flexible approach to working methods.
