Housing Rights is offering an opportunity for an aspiring solicitor. You will work within our legal advice team, playing a key role in promoting social justice in Northern Ireland and helping us achieve our vision of everyone having a home. Responsibilities

  • Contributing to legal advice, advocacy, and representation on behalf of clients.
  • Contribute to the organisation’s policy, training, and legal information work.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • A law degree or relevant equivalent degree AND an offer from the Institute of Professional Legal Studies (IPLS) of a place on the Northern Ireland solicitor’s vocational training course in September 2025.
  • Experience of working to promote social justice.
  • Experience of writing or presenting information to a range of audiences.
  • Experience of analytical skills and the ability to form persuasive evidence-based arguments.
  • Knowledge of social justice issues relevant to vulnerable and disadvantaged groups.
  • Skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
