Job description

You will provide quality meals to the service users, whilst maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the accommodation project. A full job description is available with an application pack from the employer's website.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve hot and cold meals.
• Provide for special dietary requirements where necessary and consider the preferences of individual service users.
• Assist in planning/costing menus to provide a balanced nutritious diet, making the best use of available fresh foods.
• Maintain accurate records of food supplies, and freezer/fridge temperatures and any other monitoring data required for HACCP and Environmental Health .

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Relevant work experience of preparing and cooking meals.
• Relevant work experience of undertaking a range of cleaning duties.
• Basic food hygiene certificate (essential).
• City and Guilds 706 level 1 and 2 or equivalent qualification achieved or working towards is desirable but not essential.
• Knowledge of recording and monitoring data for HACCP (Hazard Analysis) and Environmental Health.
• Comfortable with working within an environment that supports service users with addictions.
