Job description

The post holder will deliver high quality Occupational Therapy services which fulfil professional duties and organisational statutory responsibilities to service users referred to the Day Care service. The post holder will be involved in multiple interface working and will participate in service improvement initiatives within the day care setting. Responsibilities

• Work autonomously to undertake comprehensive standardised and non-standardised assessments in all aspects of occupational performance, physical, cognitive, psychological, social and environmental.
• Integrate Occupational Therapy conceptual models of activity and practice into the overall interdisciplinary model of care within the day care setting.
• Adopt a person-centred approach to the assessment of individuals, the development of comprehensive care plans and the provision of therapeutic interventions designed to meet individual goals.
• Provide education / training for day care staff on the management of complex issues as a result of physical illness and / or disability.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy from a school recognised by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT).
• Be registered with the Health Care Professions Council.
• Have no less than 5 years' postgraduate clinical experience in occupational therapy assessment & treatment, at least 3 years' of which must be at band 6 or above working with Older People and/or adults with Physical/learning disability in community.

Further Information

Salary: £46,148 - £52,809 per annum pro rata.
