Job description

The post holder will be responsible for the provision of high quality, efficient and effective physiotherapy services to patients with needs from across the range of rehabilitation subspecialties; Adult Neurological, Cardio-respiratory, Care of the Elderly/generic debility and Orthopaedics. Responsibilities

• To accept clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of patients, and to organise this effectively and efficiently with regard to clinical priorities and use of time.
• To undertake comprehensive and highly skilled holistic assessments of patients, often with complex presentation, using advanced investigative, analytical, clinical reasoning and problem solving skills, and to make clinical diagnoses as necessary.
• To gather and analyse clinical and social information from a range of sources and integrate this information into the patient assessment and treatment program.
• To liaise with various GP’s, orthopaedic, medical and geriatric consultants and their medical team as appropriate.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• BSc Physiotherapy or equivalent. HCPC Registered Physiotherapist.
• 18 months post registration experience, with evidence of a minimum of 4 months experience in the core physiotherapy specialities of respiratory, adult neurological and either orthopaedic or COE or community rehabilitation.
• Evidence of post graduate training (Formal Course) or CPD (In-service Training) relevant to the management of patients with respiratory, adult neurological, and either orthopaedic or COE conditions.
