You have great leadership skills and experience of working in a team, leading and coaching your colleagues.   You have 2 years travel sales experience and supervising a team under your belt.   You achieve your own sales targets and drive your team to achieve their individual targets.   Your exceptional communication and customer service skills are at the forefront of your day-to-day.   You love numbers and are able to stay on top of the branch’s sales and targets.  You are enthusiastic, optimistic and committed to contribute to the growth of the business   You take a keen interest in the development of colleagues to maximise job satisfaction, performance, and talent succession    If you do not have 2 years’ experience of working in a travel agency, then please check out our New to Travel opportunities which is a fantastic way to join Hays Travel, see: https://careers.haystravel.co.uk/new-to-travel or alternatively to find out about our Foreign Exchange positions please visit https://jobs.haystravel.co.uk/jobs/foreign-exchange?source=careers.haystravel.co.uk So, what does a Branch Manager at Hays Travel do in a day?   Be a true role model for your team as a trusted and inspiring leader who meets targets, continuously strives for excellence and delivers great service.   Read the overall profitability of your branch by maximising all sales to the fullest potential, exceeding targets wherever possible.   Enable the effective day-to-day operation of your branch and foreign exchange bureau.   Increase the exposure of your branch through new business leads and maximise the use of social media to promote offers, generating customer engagement and sales.   Oversee and support your team’s performance, supporting areas for development to achieve maximum productivity whilst ensuring colleague motivation and morale is at its best.   Act as a figurehead within the local community, attending all promotional activities and events that will boost your branch performance and impact exposure.  Assist in the recruitment of colleagues into your branch, including apprentices - you will ensure their development is tailored to their talent progression.

Responsibilities

  • You, along with your branch manager, will ensure your team is motivated and effective so that the branch can benefit from the productivity.
  • You will lead your team by example and set standards by achieving your own sales targets and learning & development objectives.
  • You will represent the branch in promotional events to increase the exposure and use social media to promote offers, generate customer engagement and sales leads.
  • Career development is key - you will assist in supervising and coaching your team.
  • Assistant Managers are integral to the effective day-to-day running of our branches. You will assist the branch manager in maximising sales and ensuring the profitability of the branch.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • You’ve got a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Travel Consultant with a proven sales record .
  • You’re a problem-solving leader with the ability and experience to coach, develop and motivate a team to maximise job satisfaction and performance.
  • You have a customer focused approach to work towards and achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Your organisational and time-management skills help you always stay on top of your tasks.
