To provide the highest possible standards of support to the people who use our services. Working closely with the Residential Manager to deliver local line management in designated residential services in Co Donegal. ‘Teach Lorna’ in Letterkenny & ‘Cuan Naomh Maelrabh’ in Carrigart. Ensuring compliance with Department of Health Regulations and HIQA Standards, within that context the Deputy Manager will be expected to work collaboratively and with initiative. The Deputy Manager will act on behalf of the Manager during periods of their absence and will assume the role of Person in Charge during extended periods of absence. Responsibilities

• To assist the Manager/PIC the service in line with the principles of person-centred support, promoting a rights-based approach to care and support.
• To support staff to develop & maintain a trusting & professional relationship with the people who use our services and act in a supportive & empathetic manner towards them.
• Assist the Manager in ensuring that all staff, people who use our services and volunteers are familiar with and can put into practice the principles of Person-Centred Services and the rights-based approach.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Willingness to work flexible hours required for the job which may include some evenings and weekends.
• Possess a full current driving licence that allows you to drive in ROI and access to a car. Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence.
• Professional Social Care Worker qualification, minimum NQF Level 7 (or equivalent ).
• A qualification in health or social care management (a module of your primary qualification, or an additional qualification).
• A minimum of 3 years’ in a management or supervisory role in the area of health or social care which must include the supervision of staff/volunteers and financial management.
