Band 5 Administrative Sector Manager - Community & Specialist CAMHS Services
Job description
The post holder will be accountable to the Assistant Services Manager (ASM) for the management, development and operational delivery of an effective and efficient high quality administrative service for CAMHS outpatient services. He/She will contribute to specific components of workforce planning, quality improvements and provide clear leadership to all staff within their area of responsibility. He/ she will work in partnership with the other Administrative Sector Managers and if required work across Inpatient & Outpatient CAMHS. Responsibilities
- Manage the day to day priorities of team and delegate duties and responsibilities effectively and ensure distribution of workload is fair and equitable.
- In conjunction with the ASM systematically review the Directorate Management Plan and agree levels of service for which he/she is responsible, to ensure that each is consistent with achieving objectives and recommends changes where appropriate.
- To delegate appropriate responsibility and authority to staff in order to ensure optimum and effective service delivery and decision-making, whilst retaining overall accountability and responsibility for outcomes.
- To participate in the Trust’s Performance Review Scheme, reviewing, at least annually the performance of staff for whom he/she has responsibility and identifying training and development requirements.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Hold a 3rd level qualification in a business/management/administrative related field AND one year’s administrative supervisory experience at Band 4.
- Or Have 5 years relevant administrative experience of which must include 2 years supervisory experience at Band 4 or above.
- Have excellent people management skills and show an ability to lead and take responsibility for the performance of a team of administrative staff.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working in a CAMHS/ Mental Health Team.
