Job description

To provide personal care and assistance in accordance with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council Standards of Conduct and Practice 2015. We are looking for a caring and compassionate person with good communication skills and access to a car for business purposes (35p per mile travel allowance is provided) to provide personal care and assistance to service users in their own.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with washing, dressing, helping with toileting and continence management.
• Supporting with medication reminders and assisting service users to take medication.
• Assisting with mobility and transfers, including using mobility aids.
• Preparing meals and drinks.
• Light cleaning and laundry.
• Running errands, such as shopping or collecting prescriptions.
• Providing companionship and emotional support.
• Following care plans developed by healthcare professionals.
• Maintaining records of the individual's health and well-being.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Access to a car for business purposes.

Desirable Skills

• Experience in a caring environment and/or a health and social care qualification is desired but not essential as full training will be provided.
