Job description

To maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout the Home and comply with all infection control measures operating within the Home under the Nursing Home minimum standards. A full job description is available upon request of an application pack.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of bedrooms, en-suites, dining rooms, lounges, treatment room, sluice rooms, bathrooms, toilets, offices, lifts, corridors and nurses stations/reception.
• Laundry assistance as required.
• Ensure proper disposal of all waste materials.
• Observe confidentiality at all times.
• Wipe all hard surfaces daily, tidy materials and refill dispensers.
• Deep clean bedrooms according to cleaning schedule.
• Vacuum / mop floors.
• Comply with all infection control measures operating within the Home.
• Adhere to all COSHH regulations and be compliant with the Company’s Health & Safety Procedures.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Ability to undertake a high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate with residents.
• Good organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative.
• Ability to communicate and work as part of a team.
• Fluent in English in order to follow Health & Safety policies.

Desirable Skills

• High standard attention to detail.
• Previous experience in a similar position.
