Quality Assurance Technician


Job description

Our client, a gluten free bakery that supplies most of their produce to America and Australia are looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join their team based in Crossmaglen.

Responsibilities

  • As the Quality Assurance Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the high standards of our client's products.
  • To work towards Production KPI in relation to output, waste, and cost.
  • To execute the production plan adhering to running order and volumes.
  • To train new employees and agency workers in department specifics.
  • To implement good housekeeping procedures in the workplace and lead by example.
  • To observe and enforce appropriate Health and Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene procedures always.
  • Verifying that products adhere to established quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Evaluating incoming raw materials to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Collecting and preparing samples for laboratory analysis.
  • Conducting regular quality checks on the production line to ensure products meet standards.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation of quality control procedures and findings.
  • Ensuring adherence to food safety regulations and standards like HACCP.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Working effectively with other key functions: operations, technical, hygiene team, to ensure all aspects of duties carried out.
  • Takes ownership and responsibility of all issues and tasks they encounter.
  • Motivated to do all tasks to the highest standards with an ability to inspire others to do the same.
  • Good working knowledge of word and excel are essential.
  • To undertake other appropriate duties as deemed necessary within the scope of the role.
  • Initiative to drive and meet targets.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential .

Further Information

Hours Per Week: The rotation hours would be one week- 48 hours and the second week would be 36 hours.
