Job description

We are recruiting for a Clinical and Patient Services Pharmacist. To ensure that pharmacy patient services are delivered to a high quality and in a safe and cost-effective manner, in accordance with relevant national guidelines and legislation. To work as a specialist clinical pharmacist providing a high level of clinical pharmacy services to the Omagh hospital and primary care complex/Tyrone and Fermanagh hospital. To support, manage and develop a team of technicians and pharmacy assistants delivering pharmacy patient services to the WHSCT facilities at the Omagh hospital and primary care complex.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with staff and maintain productive working relationships amongst your staff and with others
• Deal with and report complaints, in keeping with Trust Policy, and assist with investigations, when necessary.
• Provide specialist input, both within and outside pharmacy, to ensure the safe, efficient and cost-effective prescribing and supply of pharmaceuticals (including drugs and medical & surgical sundries) to the Trust.
• Actively contribute to the ongoing development of automated dispensing, electronic materials management, Falsified Medicines Directive, Accredited Checking Technician Program, encompass and other projects.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Minimum 2 years post-registration experience in pharmacy practice Shortlisting by Application Form.
• M Pharm or equivalent qualification
• MPSNI or eligible to register
