HR Directorate Lead (Recruitment) Band 5


Job description

The HR Officer (Directorate Lead) will work within the HROD Recruitment Team. The post holder, while working under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of a recruitment service for an assigned service directorate. They will be responsible for ensuring that key objectives, relating to the Recruitment and Selection of candidates in this area are achieved. The post holder will work closely with the service area to which they are aligned, to ensure that the service provided meets their recruitment needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the provision of HR administrative processes in a timely and consistent manner in accordance with Trust policies, procedures, best practice and current employment legislation.
  • Ensure the full and effective use of electronic HR systems.
  • Support the team to develop their skills, knowledge and use of systems.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of both electronic and paper based filing systems. This includes the safe storage, retrieval, retention and disposal in accordance with Trust policies and relevant legislation.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Degree or relevant professional qualification at graduate or diploma level and 2 years’ experience in a Human Resources department, the 2 years must be at band 4 level or equivalent.
  • Or Certificate in Personnel Practice or Certificate in Training Practice or equivalent and 3 years’ experience in a Human Resources Department, of which 2 years must be at band 4 level or equivalent.
  • Or 4 years’ experience in a Human Resources Department, of which 2 years must be at band 4 level or equivalent.

Desirable Skills

  • Demonstrate experience of managing staff for a minimum period of 1 year.
