Engagement Manager


Job description

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the development of a strategic and integrated approach to embedding Patient and Client Experience (PCE), Personal and Public Involvement (PPI) and co-production into the culture, ethos and practice of the Northern Trust in line with regional legislation and policy. S/he will support Trust staff, service users, carers and members of the public to create, plan and implement a range of methodologies and opportunities for PCE, PPI, partnership working and co-production. S/he will assist with the monitoring and evaluation of these activities. The post holder will work across the organisation, building and strengthening relationships and partnerships across Divisions, and with service users, carers and the wider statutory, community and voluntary sectors in the delivery of key priorities to support the adoption of a co-production approach for the co-design of all new care developments and in the transformation of services.

Responsibilities

  • Support the strategic and operational development, delivery, management and monitoring of PCE, PPI and co-production practice across the Northern Trust.
  • Support the development, delivery and co-ordination of education and training programmes to improve and enhance PCE, PPI and co-production practice.
  • Provide specialist advice, guidance and support to Trust staff, service users and carers and other partners on the development and delivery of PCE, PPI and co-production practice in the Northern Trust.
  • Lead on the selection and ongoing support of the Trust’s Engagement Advisory Board.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Hold a university degree or recognised professional qualification.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience at Band 6 or above or equivalent in a role delivering outcomes within a patient client experience, personal and public involvement, health improvement, community development and /or service improvement role.
