Job description

We are looking for a skilled Groundworker to join our construction team. The successful candidate will assist in all aspects of groundwork including drainage, concreting, kerbing, and flagging.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ground for building and civil engineering works. Lay foundations, drainage systems, and utility ducts. Install kerbs, edging, flagging, and block paving.
• Mix and lay concrete for footings, bases, and slabs. Assist with construction of roads, driveways, and footpaths.
• Operate small plant and hand tools (e.g. wacker plates, mixers, trench rollers). Read and interpret drawings and site plans (where required).

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Valid CSR card.
• Proven experience as a groundworker on construction or civil engineering projects.
• Good understanding of health and safety on site. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Competence with a range of tools.
