Digital Product Owner

Power NI, part of Energia Group, have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Product Owner based in Belfast. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, this role will be responsible for assisting the Digital Marketing Manager and marketing colleagues within Power NI Customer Solutions team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development and delivery of enhancements to Power NI’s digital products, including a portfolio of websites and apps.
  • Line-manage one direct report (Digital Marketing Executive).
  • Conduct research and gather insights to identify and prioritise improvements aligned with business strategy.
  • Create and maintain a roadmap of proposed features, clearly communicating updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage content using a content management system (CMS).
  • Manage relationships with external agencies, overseeing deliverables, costs, and overall performance.
  • Collaborate with the wider Marketing team to embed SEO best practices into digital product development, optimising for search engine visibility and performance.
  • Analyse and continuously improve the end-to-end customer journey using A/B testing and data-driven insights.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Energy Services, and Technology and Innovation to define objectives and requirements.
  • Contribute to strategic projects across the business as needed.
  • Work with the wider Product team to define, prioritise, and implement UX improvements aligned with business goals and user satisfaction.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • A minimum of a third level qualification in Marketing or a similar field.
  • At least 2 years’ Digital Product Owner experience in a competitive industry. Specifically experience with website / app development, change request tools, prioritisation and roadmap tools / software.
  • Experience with CMS content management systems (ideally Kentico).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
  • Highly organised with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and workloads under pressure.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of working within the energy industry.
  • Experience in customer journey or experience mapping.
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of UX / UI or design experience.
  • Experience in PPC, SEO, display advertising, Conversion Rate Optimisation and A/B Testing.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience implementing accessibility best practices in digital products.
  • Experience working with multiple external agencies.
