Job description

We are seeking Fitters to join our WAV (wheelchair accessible vehicle) Production team. You will be responsible for the conversion of standard vehicles to wheelchair accessible vehicles, including stripping down, fit conversion, ramp and restraint system & any other accessories as requested by customer. Your contributions will directly impact the lives of our customers by providing them with reliable mobility solutions.

Responsibilities

• Stripping vehicle, fitting conversion, ramp and restraint system
• Ability to use hand and power tools to aid you in the vehicle conversion process
• Complete quality checks on vehicles pre and post conversion, ensuring vehicle is built to required quality standards
• Fitting and wiring other accessories (to include electric reels, winches)

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Previous demonstrable experience in a similar role
• Previous fitting experience (experience of coach building advantageous)
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively
• High attention to detail - ensuring all required information is logged accordingly
• Ability to work under pressure in order to achieve agreed timescales
• Welding (this is advantageous but not essential)

Location: 15 Ballyscandal Road, Armagh, Co. Armagh, BT61 8BL. Hours of work: Monday to Thursday from 7.30am - 5.30pm, Friday 7.30am - 1.30pm Quarterly corporate social events. Benenden healthcare.
