Job description

As a Locality Manager the post holder will be responsible for the operational management and delivery of memory services within a geographical locality of the Southern Health and Social Care Trust. The Locality Manager will support the Head of Memory Service in ensuring high quality memory services are provided to patients / clients and their families / carers. He / she will also support the Head of Memory Service with service planning / reform initiatives, implementation of strategies and will manage a team of multidisciplinary staff. The post holder will provide clear leadership and manage staff within their control. He / she will be responsible for ensuring that memory services are of a high quality and fully meet exacting professional regulation, organisational and governance standards including delegated statutory functions. The post holder will be a member of the management team for the Memory Service and will deputise as required for the Head of Service.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the budget for the service area and the meeting of all financial targets.
• Provide interventions, as appropriate, in the area of social work professional practice.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Experience of managing and/or supervising staff.
• Experience in delivering objectives which have led to a significant improvement in service.
