Job description

To work as a member of the Acute Nutrition and Dietetic Service, Southern Health & Social Care Trust contributing to service developments and provision of a high quality service to patients. The Dietetic Support Worker will work under the guidance and supervision of Dietitians to undertake a variety of tasks (clinical and non-clinical including administrative tasks) to support the delivery of the Nutrition and Dietetic service. The post-holder will be involved in the practical aspects of implementing and monitoring nutritional recommendations, working in liaison with the Dietitian. The Dietetic Support Worker will provide support to the Dietitian for nutrition/health promotion training programmes and activities.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Demonstrated evidence of basic computer skills i.e. experience in the use of package such as Email, Word or Excel.
• NVQ level 3 or QCF Diploma level 3 or higher qualification in Health Care.
