Afterschool Supervisor
Job description
You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating activities for the children in our afterschool room. This role ensures a safe, positive, and engaging environment where children can participate in recreational, educational, and social activities. As an Afterschool Supervisor, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive and stimulating environment for the children in our afterschool room. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and coordinate a variety of activities tailored to different interests and age groups, ensuring that each child feels included, engaged, and safe. In addition to fostering a positive atmosphere, you will serve as a role model, demonstrating respect, empathy, and encouragement. Your leadership will help maintain an orderly environment where clear expectations and positive reinforcement encourage cooperation and respect among all participants. This role also requires proactive supervision, anticipating potential issues and intervening as necessary to ensure safety and wellbeing. Effective communication with parents, staff, and the children themselves will be essential for resolving concerns and sharing updates on progress and activities.
