Family Support Worker

Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to children with additional needs and their families
- Build relationships with hard-to-reach families
- Work closely with parents, early years staff, and health professionals
- Help families navigate services and access appropriate
- Deliver outreach activities and parenting programmes
- Support community-led initiatives that promote early years development
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development or a related field, or a qualification above this, e.g. Degree in Early Childhood Studies or a related field
- Demonstrable experience of applying safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures
- Access to a car or ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role (reasonable adjustments will be considered for applicants with a disability)

Desirable Skills
- Experience of delivering parenting programmes.
- Experience or qualification in Community Development or Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Please note appointment is usually at the first point of the scale. Family Support Worker Disability Focus. Salary: £27,573 - £36,389.29 per annum pro rata.
