Head Receptionist
Job description
Due to continued growth, we are seeking to appoint a Head Receptionist & Receptionist to our team. Purpose: Welcome guests, check guests in and out of the hotel, deal with guest queries, and provide prompt and professional guest service to meet guest needs and ensure guest satisfaction. Key Requirements: to promote high standards of customer service and meet and greet all customers and guests. Have excellent knowledge of our drinks, cocktails, wines, and spirits and always represent the Anchor Bar in a positive light.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in guests with a friendly, professional manner
- Handle check-outs, payments, and guest queries efficiently
- Manage bookings via phone, email, and hotel software
- Provide accurate information on rooms, food, drinks, and entertainment
- Maintain a clean, organised reception area
- Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations
- Promote in-house offers, cocktails, and VIP experiences
- Use Microsoft Office for admin tasks and guest records
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- At least 1 years’ experience in a customer-facing role
- Must have 5 G.C.S.E’s or equivalent grade C or above, and must include maths and English

- Level 3 qualification in relevant discipline
- Experience of Hotel software would be an advantage
Further Information
We require candidates to be fully flexible to accommodate shift patterns that look like the below: 8.00am to 3.00pm / 3.00pm to 9.00pm & on occasion a combination of am & pm shifts together to accommodate the smooth running of the reservations department. Availability: Must be available for morning shift/evening shift and weekend shifts. Job Type: Full-time Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour Benefits: Company pension Discounted or free food Work Location: In person
