Silver Cloud Care NI is currently recruiting for Carer/Companion for our clients in the Hillsborough area The ideal candidate will be empathetic, caring, compassionate with a desire to care and support vulnerable adults in their own home. Being a Carer to someone is not just any job. As a Silver Carer you provide a selfless and much needed service . There is nothing more rewarding than knowing you have just brightened up someone's day! We pay £14 per hour plus Mileage! Minimum Call Time 1 hour

Responsibilities

• Ensure physical and emotional wellbeing.
• Support independence with dignity and respect.
• Assisting with dressing, bathing, toileting, and mobility support.
• Meal preparation.
• Provide much needed company and and engaging conversation.
• Light household duties.
• Social Outings, go for a cuppa and a walk around the shops.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to listen.
• A non judgemental approach to care.
• Good conversation.
• Driver with access to own car
• Able to demonstrate patience (you may have to listen to the same story numerous times).

Desirable Skills

• Previous experience working as a Care Assistant (not essential as full training will be provided)

Further Information

You will be required to undergo an enhanced Access NI enhanced check. Be registered with NISCC (or willing to register). Complete all mandatory training. We offer flexible working hours and a great rate of pay. Sorry, but we do not currently offer sponsorship.
