Responsibilities
- Acting as first point of contact for the Director of Children's Services.
- Handling and responding to correspondence including phone calls, emails and letters.
- Scheduling appointments and organising diary entries.
- Setting reminders for meetings, appointments and other important tasks.
- Making travel and hotel arrangements.
- Planning conferences, workshops, seminars and other events.
- Taking notes at meetings, preparing and distributing minutes.
- Liaising with other members of staff and external parties.
- Preparing expense reports and maintaining a filing system.
- Undertaking projects for the Regional Director.
- Supporting and supervising a small team of administrators, including reception colleagues.

Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Experience of working as a personal assistant/admin support to senior management.
- Demonstrable experience of handling confidential or sensitive information.
- Excellent IT skills to include Microsoft Office suite of programmes.
- Experience of managing and supervising colleagues.
- Highly organised and capable of maintaining efficient systems.
Desirable Skills
- Demonstrable experience of Project Management.
- Demonstrable experience of using a range of management information systems - Barnardo's use D365.
