Job description

We require Communication, Application of Number and ICT essential skills tutors, in support of our ApprenticeshipsNI provision. Fulfill all delivery requirements as set by DfE/Awarding body.

Responsibilities

• The provision of training and assessment for Essential Skills learners and provision of relevant information to Essential Skills Co-ordinator.
• Completion and maintenance of records for Essential Skills learners, i.e., Individual Learning Plans, attendance records, monitoring & reviews, etc.
• Developing your learners’ skills, support and guiding them through the portfolio building process, marking and assessing their work, completing assessment documentation for the relevant level, preparation and submission of work for moderation.
• Ensuring that all targets agreed in relation to attainment of qualifications are met.
• Preparation of new assessment materials in line with awarding body criteria and standards.
• Ensure up-to-date knowledge in relation to teaching and learning requirements
• Lead team meetings and identify good practice and areas for improvement
• Ensure all recommendations for improvement are implemented in a timely fashion
• Assist in the preparation of new materials in line with awarding body criteria and standards.
• Working with all team members within Global Horizon Skills Ltd to ensure the provision of a quality service in all areas.
• Responsible for attending training courses as recommended by Management.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Applicants should be appropriately qualified to deliver essential skills, in line of the Department for the Economy's guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Ability to deliver online is essential.
