The successful applicant will be responsible for the management and coordination of our Essential Skills qualification delivery, relating to the three areas of Communication, Application of Number and ICT.
Responsibilities
- Working directly with the Programme/Quality Manager to ensure that there is a streamlined standardisation process across the Apprenticeships Programme in relation to quality for the Essential Skills provision.
- The scheduling and provision of training and assessment for Essential Skills learners and providing this information to Programme/Quality Manager and allocated Tutor.
- Completion and maintenance of records for Essential Skills learners, i.e., Individual Learning Plans, attendance records, monitoring & reviews, etc
- Ensure that all Essential Skills trainers are supported within their job roles by ensuring that they receive support and guidance throughout the lifecycle of the learners programme.
- Provide trainers with up-to-date information provided by the awarding bodies in relation to changes to the qualification.
- Ensure all trainers have current up-to-date knowledge in relation to teaching and learning requirements
- Responsible for conducting direct observation on Essential Skills tutors employed by the company and maintain the Tutor Observation List.
- Responsible for completing sampling plans and strategies for the above programmes and maintaining centre files for external verification visits
- Responsible for meeting with Standards Verifiers from the awarding bodies
- Working directly with the Programme/Quality Manager to ensure all new candidates are registered on TAMS.
- Creating online PTPs for each candidate on TAMS.
- Any other duties as assigned by Management
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Good communication, planning, prioritising and organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience of Essential Skills delivery in one of more of the areas listed.
Further Information
Whilst hours per week are advertised at 16 minimum, please contact us to discuss the scope for working additional hours weekly.
