Job description

To provide a safe caring environment within our Pre-School Room for 3-4 year olds and be responsible for the overall safety and well being of the children in their room. Responsible for the laying out and putting away of all materials and equipment necessary for the day-to-day running of the room. Interact and work as part of the team with all members of staff and professional bodies relevant to the company. Carry out any reasonable request by the Managing Director or Nursery Manager.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the day to day running of the Pre-School room providing appropriate activites for the children alongside structured activities and learning activities for the age group.
• Adhering to Nursery Policies.
• To work alongside your Assistant Supervisor and lead team members on a daily basis within the room through routines.
• To complete appropriate paperwork daily and monthly and to communicate effectively with parents throughout the nursery.
• Take phone calls where required and work alongside fellow Supervisors within the Nursery.
• Communicate daily with the Nursery Managers and complete and take on any tasks requested and required.
• Working in Partnership with Management, Staff & Parents.
• Ensuring a safe environment for the children in your care.
• Work with room staff to provide activities.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Hold a Minimum of a Level 3 Childcare Qualification
• To have a least 2 years experience within a leadership/supervisor role with Nursery age children in particular 3-4 year olds
• Safeguarding certificate

Desirable Skills

• First Aid Certificate, Basic Food and Hygiene Certificate
• Any further childcare training
