Job description

Preparing and baking various goods like bread, pastries, and cakes, ensuring high-quality products while adhering to food safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area, managing inventory, and developing new recipes.
  • Operating ovens, monitoring baking times and temperatures, and adjusting as needed.
  • Monitoring the Baking process, ensuring all products meet quality standards, assessing ingredients for freshness, and discarding expired items.
  • Working with ingredients, measuring and creating dry mixes and monitoring ingredient levels, placing orders for supplies, and managing inventory to minimize waste.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Experience in measuring and mixing ingredients, kneading dough, preparing fillings, and shaping dough.
  • Baking Expertise: Strong knowledge of baking techniques, recipes, and ingredients.
  • Attention to Detail: Precise measurements and careful execution of recipes are essential.
  • Physical Stamina: Baking can be physically demanding, requiring standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.
  • Time Management: Meeting production deadlines and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
