Steel Fixers - Toomebridge - Permanent We are seeking an experienced Steel Fixer to join a busy precast concrete production facility in Toomebridge. This hands-on role involves preparing, assembling, and securing steel reinforcement for concrete products, ensuring all work meets strict quality and safety standards. Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine the required placement and configuration of steel reinforcement.
• Assemble and secure reinforcement cages using wire, rebar ties, or tack welding to support concrete structures.
• Ensure steel reinforcement is accurately positioned, maintaining correct spacing and alignment according to design.
• Inspect rebar for defects or deviations from specification, ensuring it is clean, rust-free, and free from contaminants.
• Work closely with supervisors and quality control teams to ensure reinforcement meets project requirements.
• Operate hand and power tools safely while adhering to company and industry safety regulations.
• Wear and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including gloves, helmet, and steel-toe boots.
• Collaborate effectively with other trades such as concrete finishers, formwork carpenters, and engineers to ensure smooth production flow.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Previous experience as a Steel Fixer or in a similar reinforcement role.
